Matteo Carta is not only a photographer, but also a husband and the father of two wonderful boys. He was born in Cagliari, in one of the places considered among the most beautiful in the world: Sardinia. He immersed himself in the world of photography in 2013 and studied extensively with various colleagues to broaden his knowledge of every photographic approach to weddings. It was a way to enrich himself, but also to understand which path was best suited to him. He has always been fascinated by documentary photography and photojournalism. His bookshelves are full of books by Bresson.
This love of documentary photography led him to tell the story of a wedding day from his particular point of view, clearly different from what the wedding industry often offers. His approach is entirely documentary. His photography is not based on aesthetics or the constant pursuit of luxury and perfection, but focuses on authentic moments, sometimes emotional, sometimes wild and fun. He photographs quietly, never interfering, allowing everything to happen as spontaneously as possible. The couple has full control over every aspect of their wedding day, from where they get ready to how and when each moment unfolds. Matteo simply remains in the background, telling the story of the moments of their special day. He is a member of several international photography associations and has received numerous awards and recognitions. Without a doubt, what means the most to him is having earned the title of Fearless Photographer of the Year for two consecutive years.
